A sparkling party was held for a Spalding couple to celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary.
Sheila and Cyril Shillaker (pictured) celebrated 60 years of marriage with an open day for family and friends at their home in St Anne’s Way.
Their special card from the Queen to mark the day arrived in the morning.
The couple, who were married at St Paul’s Church in Spalding, met at the local youth club. Sheila, a retired insurance manager, is a Spalding girl and Cyril, who worked in accounts at Geest, comes from Tilbury, London.
They have two children Lesley and Debbie and a grandson, Luke.
Their recipe for a happy marriage? “Give and take, and don’t go to bed on an argument.”
