Spalding and District Young Farmers Club recently held their annual charity ball at the South Holland Centre, which had a masquerade theme and was attended by almost 200 people. The club made a healthy profit from the event and again chose to donate the profit between two charities: this time Holbeach Hospital and Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

The hospital, which received £1,000, was chosen as it is a cause very close to the chairman’s heart.

The Air Ambulance, which received £500, was chosen as it is seen as a very important cause by all of the club members.

Spalding YFC secretary Ali Prior said: “We would like to take this opportunity to, once again, thank everybody who came along and supported the event and who helped to make these donations possible.

“We hope that you will continue to support our fundraising events in the future.”

Spalding YFC has been voted Lincolnshire Club of the Year for the second year running, which is a great achievement for all the members.

If you would like to be a part of this club, or go along and see what they are about, call Ali on 07949689179 or email her at alice.prior@sky.com

They meet every Wednesday, 8pm, at the Spalding Constitutional Club.
