Decision day on Spalding Western Relief Road to come in July
County planners are due to make their decision on the northern and southern ends of Spalding Western Relief Road in July.
This follows the rubber-stamping of applications for the two road sections by South Holland District Council's planning committee on Wednesday.
The district council is only a consultee in the process and the final decision will rest with the county council unless the planning applications are called in by a Government minister.
There is no date yet for the meeting of the county's planning committee. It was previously understood the plans would go before county council leaders on June 4.
The county council is currently carrying out a feasibility study on the middle sections of the road and, once that is complete in the summer, the relief road project as a whole will be considered by the county's Highways and Transport Scrutiny Committee.
