Trains through Spalding disrupted after lorry hits bridge

Trains through Spalding have been delayed after a lorry struck a bridge.

Network Rail engineers are expected on site at 4.30pm to assess the safety of the bridge near Ancaster

Trains on the Doncaster/Lincoln/Peterborough route are unable to run until the all-clear has been given.


A fault with barriers at a level crossing between Spalding and Sleaford is delaying trains.

Network Rail say trains on the Doncaster/Lincoln/Peterborough route are being affected.

Network Rail is investigating the problem and hopes to have engineers on site by 4pm.
