Residents are being warned that Spalding's tip won't be able to take any more plasterboard this weekend - the latest in a series of issues at the facility.

The household waste recycling centre, in West Marsh Road, says it won't be able to take any more plasterboard until next week after the bin filled up today.

The facility has suffered from long queues of traffic, particularly on Friday, since it ditched its Covid booking system this month.

It also suffered from a fire two weeks ago - and bosses had to apologise this week after wrongly barring a man from entry on a tricycle.

Lincolnshire County Council tweeted this afternoon: "The plasterboard bin at Spalding Household Waste Recycling Centre is full.

"Please do not bring any plasterboard to this site over the weekend whilst our partners replace the bin. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
