Staff and former staff and students at the Sir John Gleed School in Spalding gathered to celebrate a remarkable achievement last week.
The get-together, at The Birds in Spalding, was in recognition of teacher Ray Isaacs, who has notched up 40 years at the school. Ray, who teachers computer studies and computer science, is to retire at the end of the summer term. Ray taught geography and maths when he first joined the school, but says he bought one of the earliest computers so that he could stay ahead of the game.
