It was a done deal when students from the Priory School in Spalding drilled deep for a Dragons’ Den experience just as scary as the real BBC programme.

The Year 10 pupils were ‘selling’ their products to a panel made up of ‘Dragons’ from the Rotary Club of South Holland, giving presentations using multimedia – and one pupil with a speech impairment was applauded for using a voice app to explain his product.

The annual event is as much about the presentation as the product, with students working in teams, fostering communication, organisation and collaboration.

Marvellous Mats was the most outstanding team, Shield came in second and Plastic Fantastic third. Teams received certificates and cash for winners.
