People will be able to use pedal power to make a healthy smoothie drink at Spalding’s Health and Fitness Show on Saturday, March 28.
That’s just one of the attractions at this major show planned for South Holland Centre in Spalding (10am to 4pm) and open to all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
Event organiser Zoe Myall, from Give It Some Fizz, has drawn together a number of top fitness classes and experiences for the event, as well as the bike with a blender attached that South Holland District Council is providing.
In the morning, visitors to the free event will be able to have a go at FitSteps with Janet Gill, who is introducing the latest dance fitness craze co-created by Strictly’s Ian Waite.
Tracey Vowels of The Fitness Company will be demonstrating a step class and Nifty Fifties class, and in the afternoon demonstrations include yoga by Claire Thomas of Padma Yoga Studio and zumba with Helen Lea.
There is also the chance to chat with experts in health, fitness and wellbeing, such as Slimming World, Tonic Health, 1Life, Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Heroes Gym, as well as Zoe’s Give It Some Fizz Sports, Fitness and Education, plus many other exhibitors.
There will also be the chance to try wellness treatments, such as sports massage.
Zoe said: “I’m really excited about the event. The idea is to show what the area has on offer to help people be confident, happy, healthy and inspired.
“It doesn’t matter if you’ve never done any form of exercise in your life. There are so many exciting ways of looking after yourself. I’m thrilled that we have some of the best names in the business joining us for the day.”
