Friday saw the Pumpkin Festival return to Spalding in triumphant fashion. The event attracted a large number of people and culminated in a fireworks display. The festival was sponsored once again by David Bowman Pumpkins, where over 3.5 million fruits are produced every year.
The all-day festival took place in the Sheep Market, and the evening entertainment in the main Market Place.
Visitors were able to try their hand at pumpkin carving with local experts Angela and Jonathan Nicholls, of Farm House Chicken Crafts. They also created their own piece of pumpkin themed artwork during craft workshops by Creation Station and Transported Arts.
There was a Festival Market with a selection of pumpkin themed treats and a great selection of cooking demonstrations on a pumpkin theme.
Special mention must go to fancy dress competition entrants whose costumes looked wonderful.
On-stage entertainment included Peter J and Zebra, Diamondz DG showed their dance moves and The Bourne Borderers gave a morris dancing display.
The festival closed with a grand finale firework display.
Many thanks to everyone who made it the most amazing Pumpkin Festival so far.
