The Rotary Club of Spalding and Welland’s Young Chef competition winner has gone on to achieve more success.
A dozen bakers took part in the contest, with students from hosts Sir John Gleed School, Spalding High School, Spalding Grammar School and Bourne Academy battling it out in the kitchen.
Bourne Academy’s Rebecca Hughen triumphed with her chicken balti main course followed by strawberry cheesecake.
Rotarian Rodney Britten says Rebecca (14) has followed that achievement by winning the East Midlands District competition held last week at Huntingdon. She will go on to the Regional Final on March 12.
