A regular column from Tulip Radio’s Jan Whitbourn.

This year we’ve celebrated the Queen’s 90th birthday. Now Tulip Radio is taking a look back at some of the key events of her reign in a two-part special commemorating ‘90 Glorious Years’.

In two shows put together by a new group of young volunteers and made possible with a grant from the Postcode Community Trust, we’ll look back at Her Majesty’s dutiful commitment and faithful devotion over a turbulent century.

Tulip Radio has received £2,000 thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery. The funding boost from Postcode Community Trust will enable Tulip Radio to allow our volunteers make two special radio shows in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s life and reign.

The funding is helping us to put together an interesting and varied media training programme for new volunteers. This opportunity is especially aimed at young people. We would love to hear from you if you’d like to be involved. So if you’d like to become the new on-air voice of South Holland, then get in touch with Tulip Radio by calling us on 01775 712400 or emailing

Our thanks to players of Postcode Lottery for raising £2,000 through the Postcode Community Trust and helping to fund Tulip Radio’s ’90 Glorious Years’ project. When you sign up to play the People’s Postcode Lottery, your postcode is your ticket. A minimum of 30 per cent goes directly to charities across Great Britain and internationally.
