Spalding Gentlemen’s Society members share knowledge at regular coffee-house evenings organised by member Julia Gant.

In those, something is taken from the exhibits and a member gives a 20-minute talk about it.

Exhibits are shared with a wider public during organised museum tours as well as on open days – two are coming up on March 15 and April 19, with pre-bookable tours at 1.15pm and 2.45pm (01775 724658).

The society also loans items to exhibitions, such as one at Ayscoughfee Hall in September and the Magna Carta celebrations at Lincoln.
