Uber Eats launches in Spalding
Food ordering app Uber Eats has launched in Spalding today - and is offering residents chance to get McDonald's food delivered to their homes.
The firm says it is looking to add local restaurants to its listings soon.
Toussaint Wattinne, general manager of Uber Eats in the UK, said: “We are really excited to be launching in Spalding, firstly with McDonald’s, and a host of local restaurants joining in the coming weeks. We hope to make it even easier for local residents to enjoy a variety of delicious food both comfortably and safely.”
Customers can download the Uber Eats app on their smartphone (available for iOS and Android), or by visiting ubereats.com, with orders available from 8am to midnight.
Deliveries are contactless and all couriers have access to PPE.
The news comes a day after rival service Deliveroo said it would be coming to Spalding in the next few months.
McDonald's customers are currently unable to use the drive-thru at its restaurant off Holbeach Road as a result of work to install new digital menus.
