Spalding High School’s gymnastics team went to Stamford to compete in the regional floor and vault competition and the Milano team event.

After some excellent floor routines and exceptional vaults, both the under 14 team (Emmi Bell, Leona Ryan, Maisie Foden, Rebecca Fones and Maddie Freeman) and under 19 floor and vault team (Evie Freeman, Miah Farrell, Liberty Foden, Amelia Fox, Maddie Yellop) came first, making them regional champions.

They now go on to represent the East Midlands at the National Floor and Vault Finals in May.

The girls then performed their group routines to try to secure a place at the Milano National Finals. The U13 team (Maisie Foden, Rebecca Fones and Maddie Freeman) and the U16 team (Miah Farrell, Liberty Foden, Amelia Fox and Evie Freeman) both won their categories. Both now represent the East Midlands at the National Milano finals later this month.
