Two new members of staff at Spalding High School will be bringing language and culture to their pupils.
The school has welcomed German and French language assistants. Bianca Ortmann, from Mühlhausen in Germany, will help teach German as part of the British Council’s Modern Language Assistant programme. Cecile Vion, from Paris, has joined the school as a French assistant.
Modern Language Assistants bring up-to-date language skills and use news and culture to engage pupils in the language they are learning. Pupils find it easy to relate to language assistants and develop confidence in speaking as a result.
