Twenty people competed in fitness events to raise between £600 and £700 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Some 50 spectators were there to watch as the competitors went through their paces in four tough events, include weightlifting and a 40 metre tyre-flip course.

Definitions Health and Fitness Gym manager Jack Smith said: "The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic and all of the competitors were encouraging each other."

The gym, in Cradge Bank, Spalding, is celebrating its fifth birthday this year and the competition was organised as a way of giving back to its supporters as well as raising cash for a great cause.
