This year’s Spalding Grammar School American theme fete is on Saturday, July 4 (noon to 4pm) and entry is free.
As well as the usual food and stalls, there will be activities and entertainment – including, hopefully, a fun dog show. People are invited to take a stall for £10. The PFA would like to make this fete “a big one” as it will be Mr Ryan’s last.
On Friday, July 10 (7pm) the committee has organised a quiz. Tickets are £4 per person, available from the school office.
This summer’s series of car boot sales begins on Sunday, May 3 (gates open at 6am to booters and 8am to the public and they usually go on until noon). The boot sales will be held on eight consecutive Sundays and entry is 20p.
The PFA meets once a month for two hours at the most, and members tend to share out fundraising events between them so they are not getting involved in everything.
PFA chairman Anna Spencer says: “We are a small committee raising all this money to give your children the extras.
“Come and see us or help where you can. Give a donation or share ideas for new events, especially one off events.”
