Mari Wilson’s Ready Steady Girls tour at South Holland Centre, Spalding, was really enjoyable, according to well-known local personality Rodney Sadd, pictured here with Mari.

Rodney says: “She paid tribute to Dusty Springfield and Cilla Black and really put a whole new meaning on the Gene Pitney hit 24 Hours from Tulsa.

“When I met her afterwards I found her very warm and friendly and she was willing to talk and sign her CDs.

“The only disappointment for me was that it was not a full house for one of the British greats around today.”
