Spalding deaths: Police say it is now a murder investigation and have released two men with no further action




Police say the inquiry into deaths of two people found in a Spalding house is now a murder investigation.

The bodies of a man and a woman, both in their 30s, were discovered at an address in Winsover Road at 5.30am on Thursday (June 25).

Detectives say their investigation is at an early stage but are not looking for anyone else.

Two men, aged 29 and 46, were arrested on suspicion of murder but have now been released with no further action.

Det Inspector Andy McWatt, Senior Investigating Officer, said, “I recognise this is a deeply sad time for the family and friends of those involved and worrying for the local community.Our investigation is in the early stages but I can update we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this investigation.

“I will be in a position to share more information in the coming days.I ask that the privacy of those affected by this investigation is respected.

“If anyone has concerns or information they would like to pass I ask that they get in touch.”
