Windows at the store are filled with posters, saying the store is closing, everything must go and offering a ten per cent discount on stock.

The date of the pending closure is unknown.

Brantano also operate from Beales Department Store, in Market Place, Spalding, and a spokesman for Beales said they have no information at this time and are currently waiting to hear from the administrators.

The Brantano website has a message that the “website has now stopped trading”.

It says: “Anthony Steven Barrell and Michael John Andrew Jervis were appointed as joint administrators of Brantano Retail Limited to manage its affairs, business and property as its agents and without personal liability.”
