Members of a Spalding band are marching tall after a successful summer so far.
The Marching Ambassadors of Spalding competed in two competitions earlier in the summer, one at Stoke and the other, the British Youth Band Association East Midlands Showdown, at Grantham.
Band founder Jim Bright said: “We had to move up to a higher class this year and found it hard. In the first competition at Stoke we came second and we were very pleased with that, and at Grantham we came fourth.
“They all enjoyed both contests and are ready to try more. They learned a lot and came away with lots of ideas and made lots of new friends.”
He thanked Coun Angela Newton and other councillors for their support.
