Spalding Masquerade Ball boosts two charities

A fabulous Masquerade Ball at The South Holland Centre is expected to raise around £2,000.

Organiser Michelle Holmes devised the ball to raise money for Dementia UK and Cancer Research.

The charities are close to home because Michelle's grandparents were diagnosed with the illnesses and she decided to do something to support research.

On Saturday 200 guests had a wonderful night out, enjoying a three-course meal, music and dancing.

There was a DJ and music from popular Holbeach band The Houndogs.

"Everyone seemed to have a good time," said Michelle. "I have received lots of good reviews and lots of messages from people who enjoyed the night."

Requests have also been made for a repeat of the ball next year.
