Specialist support for men and women in South Holland facing domestic abuse could be safeguarded.
Boston Women’s Aid, which runs outreach services in Spalding and Holbeach, has been invited to apply for Big Lottery funding this year.
Manager Lynn Mitchell said the organisation lost its core funding in 2012 and were threatened with closure in 2013, until Big Lottery funding for four years was secured.
That meant the organisation could re-start some services, but left it dependent on donations and outside funding to meet the annual shortfall.
Lynn said the invitation to apply for further Big Lottery funding recognised that it is “sadly, a very much needed support service”.
