A travelling ‘spaceman’ brought the Lincolnshire-based StarLincs Mobile Planetarium to Surfleet School to add an exciting dimension to the children’s space studies.

Mick Morton, from StarLincs, brought the topic to life, talking about the planets and stars as they appeared inside the dome.

Teacher Anett Baxter said: “Class 1 have been learning about space and to end this exciting topic we had a visit from the planetarium.

“Children have thoroughly enjoyed the ‘real’ experience of being in space.

“Children have been looking at the planets, stars and collected information about Tim Peake. Children had the opportunity to ask questions and experience a day in fast motion from dusk to dawn.

“It was an exciting day, with lots of facts and fun.”
