Long Sutton to host meeting on mental health and wellbeing

The Social Issues in South Lincs Group will focus on aspects of mental health and wellbeing at its meeting next month.

Father Jonathan Sibley, who founded the group 10 years ago, said everyone is welcome to attend the event, which will be addressed by speakers from NHS England.

It takes place on Thursday, March 12 in St Mary's Church Hall, Long Sutton, from 10am-2pm, including a buffet lunch.

Father Jonathan said: "Mental health and wellbeing are becoming significant areas of concern in communities and the health service.

"Members of NHS England will help us to understand more about this point of our social life where one in four of us might need some help at some point in our lives.

"We will also hear about new initiatives being explored regarding this work in Lincolnshire and the local area."

Father Jonathan explained it was a significant moment for the group as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.

He said: "In the past 10 years there have been considerable social and economic imbalances within the fabric of our society which threaten so many who are vulnerable."
