Schools and youth groups in South Holland could win an educational trip to the UK’s centre of remembrance.
Two prizes of £750 are on offer to pay for outings to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire as part of the Lincolnshire Remembrance project.
Schools or youth groups have to submit young people’s designs for a war memorial by March 27 – there is a prize for both primary and secondary age pupils.
Entries may be drawings, paintings, 3D models, textiles, mosaics or a garden design, but they must take inspiration from local memorials and say something about what sacrifice means to communities today. Full details are at lincstothepast.com/warmemorials
