Holiday-mad South Holland workers stuck in a daydream
A new study has revealed that almost half (49 per cent) of people in South Holland admit to daydreaming about jetting off on holiday instead of doing their jobs.
New research, conducted by Travel Republic, showed how people’s minds are drifting off when they’re at work.
The most popular holiday destinations that people in South Holland are dreaming of escaping to are the Caribbean (42 per cent), Spain (30 per cent) and the USA (24 per cent).
The most common two dreams for people in South Holland are being on holiday (49 per cent) and winning the lottery (44 per cent).
While nationally people are most likely to spend lottery winnings on a new house, in South Holland people daydream about spending their winnings on going travelling, buying a new car or quitting their job ahead of a new home.
And when they’re not daydreaming, almost one in five (19 per cent) confess to having sneakily booked a holiday during work time.
Travel Republic has created The Holiday Generator (see below), an interactive tool that helps daydreamers explore their perfect holiday. The tool chooses a location based on who you are travelling with and what sort of activities you typically like to do while away.
