South Holland's Euro election turnout higher than district vote earlier this month

The turnout figure for South Holland in the 2019 European Parliamentary Elections vote yesterday (Thursday) was higher than for the district elections earlier this month.

The turnout yesterday was 32.12 per cent, whereas the district turnout was 29.92 per cent.

On average, more people in Lincolnshire people turned out to vote than in the May local elections, although South Holland's was the lowest in the county.

The counting of the votes will take place from 6pm on Sunday, with results declared later that evening.
