Gosberton Clough and Risegate pupils delighted by secret knitter

A secret knitter had put smiles on the faces of youngsters at a South Holland school earlier this week.

Children arrived at Gosberton Clough and Risegate Community Primary School on Monday morning to be greeted by five knitted figures.

The figures, which have wonderful crochet detail, were placed at the school’s staggered entrance for youngsters to pass.

Head teacher Carrie Hazlehurst said staff have since learned the identity of the mysterious knitter.

Mrs Hazlehurst said: “The figures gave lots of smiles and brightened up the children’s walk into school on Monday morning.

“They have been brilliantly knitted and we would like to thank that person for this.

“They are very talented.”
