Lincolnshire officers arrest six people on suspected hare coursing charges after police chase




Six people were arrested on suspected hare coursing charges after a police chase.

Police received several reports of hare coursing in the east of the county yesterday but were able to identify two vehicles which were suspected to be involved in the offences in Baston.

Officers followed these vehicles. But the pursuit ended just after noon in Northfields Road, Market Deeping, when one of vehicles was involved in a collision. No police car was involved in the collision.

Police were able to arrest five of the people in the car but one other person ran off but was later detained by officers.

All six people – five males aged 14, 27, 32, 38 and 40 , and a woman aged 36 – were arrested on suspicion of harecoursing offences, failure to stop, and dangerous driving.
