Spalding road to re-open this Saturday

A busy Spalding road which was closed last month after a sink hole appeared is set to re-open on Saturday.

Highways and water supply engineers have been on site in Albion Street ever since a collapsed sewer pipe led to a sink hole appearing about four weeks ago.

An Anglian Water spokesperson said: "The repairs to the collapsed sewer and carriageway are in the final stages of completion. Our teams have been working to get things back to normal and we will have the road re-opened on Saturday.

"Once again, we're sorry for any inconvenience that may have been caused, and we'd like to thank local residents and businesses for their co-operation and patience while we have been completing the works."
