Spalding singing group A Handful of Harmonies raised £100 for Breast Cancer Care by wearing pink for the charity’s Pink Fridays campaign.

Members each paid £1 to wear pink at their regular singalong at Bromley Hall, Pode Hall, and raised more cash by volunteers preparing tea, coffee and cakes for after the singing finished. The remaining cakes were taken to the Langtoft Handful of Harmonies group for their singing practice that evening.

Handful of Harmonies director Andrew Clingo said the singing group members wanted to do something to recognise Pink Friday as many of the female choir members had been affected by breast cancer.

n A Handful of Harmonies is a singing group for women of all ages. There are no auditions, no solo singing and no backing tracks.
