People in Surfleet are being given a chance to shape their community’s future at a special information-sharing event in the village.
The neighbourhood planning event takes place at the village hall next Thursday, July 14 at 7.45pm and will hopefully lead to residents having a chance to:
• Take part in a new way for local communities to influence the planning of the area in which they live;
• Develop a shared vision for their neighbourhood;
• Set planning policies for the development and use of land;
• Give planning permission for development that the community wants to have.
The meeting will show how Surfleet residents may help to create for a Neighbourhood Plan for the village: a powerful new planning tool for local communities.
