Spalding sexual assault: police appeal for witnesses

Police investigating a sexual assault in Spalding are appealing for witnesses and particularly a key witness, who may have disturbed the assault, to come forward.

The incident happened outside the public toilets in Vine Street, Spalding, on Thursday, March 12.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: "The victim was a woman in her 30s and she is believed to have been sexually assaulted by a man at around 1pm.

"Officers believe a woman may have witnessed what happened and disturbed the assault, and are specifically appealing for her to come forward.

Police say a man in his 30s was arrested in connection with this and released under investigation.
