There’s a fabulous day out for heavy horse lovers on Sunday – or for those who appreciate seeing magnificent Percheron horses.
Michael and Jackie Henfrey and their son Tom are hosting their annual Stallion Viewing Day at Gull Farm, Deeping High Bank on Sunday (11am to about 2.30pm).
It’s a completely free day, and that includes refreshments, and the day will cover an introduction to judging.
The stallions are coming from all over the country for the day and a supreme champion will be selected.
Representatives from the Percheron, Shire and Suffolk societies will be present, and will give advice on what judges are looking for.
The Henfreys have about 24 horses and – fingers crossed – there could be a new foal to melt hearts on the day.
Gates open 10.30am.
