The annual search for the most community-minded people in Lincolnshire is under way for 2018, with success for South Holland a possibility.
Nominations for the Lincolnshire County Council Good Citizen Awards are now open, with the winners to enjoy a VIP day out at the Lincolnshire Show in June.
Winners in four categories, Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year (for entrants aged 18 and under), Community Group of the Year and Couple/Pair of the Year, will also receive a framed certificate.
Recent successes for South Holland have included Flinders Founders youth group of Donington, volunteer Margaret Horn, of Moulton, and Sutton Bridge couple Tom and Jenny Rowe.
Coun Martin Hill, county council leader, said: “The work of volunteers across the county is immensely important and there are neighbours, friends, parents and children who are going above and beyond to make a difference in their communities.
“Now you have your chance to give them the recognition they deserve for the hard work and commitment they have given so freely by nominating them for a Lincolnshire County Council Good Citizen Award.
