Laddies Ices in Holbeach celebrates its 100th anniversary and has a new chief ice-cream maker

As one of the district’s best loved firms celebrates a century of tickling the taste buds of residents, a new chief ice-cream maker is bringing fresh flavours to the area.

Laddies Ices was founded 100 years ago by William Ladbrooke but now his great, great, great granddaughter Hannah Stacey (25) is now following in his footsteps as chief ice-cream maker.

For many years vanilla and strawberry were the only flavours sold in the Holbeach store but thanks to the ideas of Hannah and her mum Jane, a number of fresh new flavours are starting to appear.
