Sporty schools from Spalding, Langtoft and Market Deeping strike gold
Four primary schools have struck gold in a national programme which provides competition, participation and leadership for pupils across the country.
The School Games, a legacy of the 2012 London Olympics, supports 61 primary, secondary and special schools with access to training, support and events. This year there are 62 different festivals and competitions on offer to them.
Each year schools can apply through the Youth Sport Trust for a School Games Mark Award to recognise the great work they have done in sport, physical education and physical activity.
For the 2018/19 school year, Langtoft, Spalding Parish, Market Deeping and Spalding St Norbert's achieved the Gold Award.
Gaining the Silver Award were Gosberton House Academy, Long Sutton, Spalding St John's and Moulton John Harrox.
School Games Lincolnshire South East organiser is Rupert Gibson, of Agilitas Sports, who is contracted by Spalding High School. He said: "Huge congratulations to the pupils and staff at these schools for the fantastic work they did in 2018-19."
