Schools could win £500 worth of art materials in hospital poster competition

Schools could win £500 in art materials and a trip to Westminster in a competition celebrating the £21.3m investment in urgent and emergency care at Boston's Pilgrim Hospital.

United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust (ULHT) is inviting primary school pupils to create posters to share their vision for the ideal hospital or healthcare centre of the future.

ULHT chief operating officer Mark Brassington said: "When patients come to the emergency department they are often at their most vulnerable and are often the most poorly that we treat.

"It will be terrific to have such a fantastic facility which will enable our staff to provide the best possible care for our patients at what can often be the worst time of their life.

"The art project is just one way in which we are trying to help the whole community feel part of this exciting development, and we're really looking forward to seeing some brilliant and imaginative art."

The poster competition will be supported by a range of school resources, helping children to learn about the history of the NHS and how medicine is changing.

The competition runs until November 15 and to find our more or enter please email yournhs@fourcommunications.com
