Schoolchildren make the headlines for a day at Free Press

Have your say

Ayscoughfee Hall School pupils got a taste for the front page after spending time at the Lincolnshire Free Press offices for World Book Day.

During their visit to our offices in The Crescent, Spalding, on Thursday, the children saw the latest newspaper take shape and the demands put on the reporting team.

They also had a tour of the office, met reporters and editor Jeremy Ransome before starring in their own video for our Spalding Today website.

Milly Mason (10) said: “We saw lots of different and interesting things, we had fun and learnt about how a newspaper story is made.”

Tara Tohill-Rogers (11) added: “It was interesting to see how the journalists find a good story and I would take it up as a career.”
