Schoolboy cyclist involved in crash in Spalding

A schoolboy was involved in a collision with a car in Spalding this morning.

The incident took place in Halmergate at 8.38am and involved a boy on a pedal bike and a black Audi A3.

The boy was on his way to school and is said by police to have suffered only minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.

At the end of June there was another incident in Halmergate involving a 12-year-old boy and a double decker bus.

At that point, residents warned that the road is dangerous - particularly during the school run - and said another accident was waiting to happen if nothing was done.
