More than 70 children sang their hearts out when they took part in a Young Voices concert at the Birmingham LG arena. Years three to six from Ayscoughfee Hall School spent the afternoon rehearsing a variety of songs, from classical to rock, with more than 6,000 other school children, led by world famous conductor David Lawrence. Many of the parents made the journey to watch the evening performance. Headteacher Clare Ogden said: “Music and singing should be something for all children to love and remember. “Our juniors will certainly remember this amazing experience. “The highlight for many was having the opportunity to sing with X-Factor finalist Stacey Soloman. “These concerts raise a huge amount of money for charity and also give the children a fantastic opportunity to perform with the stars.”
