Tydd St Mary pupils host community picnic

Pupils at Tydd St Mary Primary School were joined by parents, grandparents, friends of the family and church members for a community picnic.

More than 80 visitors enjoyed the sunshine sunshine before joining the children for playground games such as skipping, stilt walking, racket games and Jenga.

The children then entertained the crowd with a sneak preview of one of the songs to be included in its music concert this week and two songs from its production which pupils in Key Stage 2 will be performing for their parents next week.

Head teacher Mrs Sonya Ely said: "It really was lovely to see so many people enjoying spending an afternoon together, a real community event."
