Gosberton House Academy celebrates National Autistic Society award




A school is celebrating after receiving an Advanced Accredited Award from the National Autistic Society.

Gosberton House Academy impressed the society by demonstrating high standards of practice in supporting autistic children and young children.

Ms Louise Stanton, Executive Principal, is thrilled with the award.

She said, ‘We are absolutely delighted to receive this accolade from the National Autistic Society. Our school community work extremely hard and it is wonderful to have this recognised.

"A huge ‘Thank you‘ to everyone who helps and supports us to ensure that our youngsters get the very best provision possible."

The society also stated that the school had an excellent understanding of autism, a strong 'pupil voice, and positive family feed back.

A number of strengths are highlighted including the ‘flawless’ demonstration of methodology in both Attention Autism and Voices; Outdoor Learning; the ‘Rights Respecting’ culture; Sensory provision and Family Support.
