WORK to bring a 14-year project at Moulton Mill to an end will take place on Monday.
From about 7.30am, villagers will see cranes next to the mill ready to lift its sails into place.
Workers are then expected to begin the task at about 9am.
The £1.7million restoration project was due to have been completed in August or September but was delayed because of a technical problem with the making of the sails.
Project manager Janet Prescott said: “It will take all day to do the work and we’re hoping they will be up by Monday evening.
“If not, we will go into Tuesday.”
No one currently alive has ever seen the mill complete with sails as they were first taken down in December 1894.
