Celebrations for Her Majesty’s 90th birthday have continued in South Holland.
Jake Whiteley took a photograph of children at Weston Hills CofE Primary School dressed in handmade crowns and queuing for delicious treats at their street party.
Headteacher Jane Fitzgerald said: “Unfortunately, just as everything had been prepared outside, a huge rain storm began and children and parents had to retreat inside to the school hall.
“Despite this, the children had a wonderful time.”
As well as the children making their own crowns to wear to the party, parents donated cakes and other treats – and everyone sang God Save the Queen and Happy Birthday.
Pinchbeck Penguins also celebrated the royal birthday with an outdoor picnic where they sang Happy Birthday to the Queen.
The youngsters also tucked into scones with jam, fruit and a birthday cake.
