By Pete Woodhouse

A bucking bronco and a bunting competition were among the highlights of Spalding Primary School's summer fair which raised £3,300.

Secretary for the PTA, Steph Giblin, explained that the school will choose where the money will go next year, although she added: "We hope to sponsor days out for the children, what we used to call 'wow days'.

"We've asked teachers what they want to do.

"In the past two years we've done activities like a picnic, but the money raised in the big summer fair is on a par with the last four or five years.

"We're looking forward to the next event at Christmas and we will do the same in summer next year."

Attendees at the Woolram Wygate school enjoyed a bucking bronco, face painting, stocks, a big climbing tower and a bunting decoration competition which was judged by executive headteacher, Mr Andrew Raistrick.
