Roles of new-look cabinet revealed

THE roles and responsibilities of South Holland District Council’s new cabinet have been unveiled.

The cabinet, led by Gary Porter, includes Nick Worth, Paul Przyszlak Roger Gambba-Jones, Howard Johnson and Gary Taylor alongside new additions Malcolm Chandler and Christine Lawton

r Coun Worth – portfolio holder for localism and big society. Includes community, arts and sports development, CCTV/anti-social behaviour and youth engagement.

r Coun Przyszlak – portfolio holder for strategic finance and democratic services. Includes governance and audit and member services.

r Coun Gambba-Jones – portfolio holder for waste management, green spaces and operational planning. Includes waste collection, markets, car parks, carbon management, conservation and heritage.

r Coun Chandler – portfolio holder for regulatory services. Includes environmental health, dog warden, building control.

r Coun Lawton – portfolio holder for housing landlord. Includes tenancy management, homelessness.

r Coun Johnson – portfolio holder for economic development, commercial assets and strategic planning. Includes key regeneration projects, South Holland Centre and Ayscoughfee Hall, parks and open spaces.

r Coun Taylor – portfolio holder for internet services, performance and business development. Includes Compass Point back office services, corporate performance, communications.

Junior portfolio holders are Rodney Grocock and Andrew Woolf.
