West Street in Bourne will be closed on the first two Sundays in July for road resurfacing work.
Highways engineers from Lincolnshire County Council will be upgrading the condition of the road, popular with shoppers, which will protect it for more than ten years.
Will the roadworks are carried out on Sunday, July 5 and 12, West Street will be closed to motorists from Exeter Street roundabout to North Street junction between 7.30am and 5pm.
No parking will be allowed between midnight and 10pm on each Sunday and temporary two-way traffic lights will be in place at Exeter Street roundabout to allow for the works.
The work has been scheduled so that disruption to residents and businesses is kept to a minimum, but emergency services will be given access throughout the period of the works if required.
Pedestrians and shoppers will be able to pass safely through the works area at certain crossing points where highways workers will be on hand to help them do so.
