Road re-opened after fatality

The A16 at Crowland has now re-opened following this morning's fatal accident.

Previously: Police have released the tragic news that a 48-year-old man has died following the collision on the A16 at Crowland this morning. His next of kin have been informed.

Previously: Police have closed the A16 due to a serious accident at Crowland and say it will be closed for several hours.

Emergency services were called to the scene of a three-vehicle crash at about 8am this morning.An HGV and a black motorcycle are involved.

The road will be closed for the next few hours.

Anyone who saw the collision or either vehicles travelling on the A16 at Crowland around 8am this morning is asked to contact the investigating officer.

Police are also appealing for anyone who may have dash cam footage of the vehicles or the collision to get in touch.

PREVIOUSLY: Police are reporting that the A16 Crowland bypass is blocked due to an accident just after 8am.

Eye witnesses are reporting that there was a collision between a lorry and a motorbike.

The Air Ambulance and emergency services, including paramedics, are on the scene.
